Hello Music Electronic Music Producer Challenge

Hello Music and Indaba Music have teamed up to run a music contest for electronic music producers. Simply submit your original tracks in any electronic music genre to Indaba Music to stand a chance at winning the gear package.

Prize:

The grand prize winner receives an Arturia Spark drum machine, a Korg KP3 Kaoss Pad, a pair of M-Audio BX5a Studio Monitors, a pair of KRK KNS 8400 headphones and an Axiom 49 MIDI controller.

Rules:

Contest is open to individuals who are 13 years of age or older at the time of entry and who are not presently signed to any record label or publisher under any exclusive agreements. Each entrant shall own the copyright to their Submission.

Booktrack - The Time Machine Soundtrack

Music Contest Info:

Booktrack is a new way to enjoy your favorite novels and short stories on mobile devices including iPad, iPhone, PC and Mac and Android Tablets which allows you to hear a movie style soundtrack with the book. Booktrack alongside Indaba Music are looking for people to help score the audio for the classic story, "The Time Machine". There are 50 individual pieces of audio to complete which are all described in the brief on the contest page.

Prize:

Members whose tracks are selected for the book will receive a royalty payment from each book sale and a 1 year Pro Membership to Indaba Music.

Women's Music Summit Opportunity

The Women's Music Summit is held in New York and is a week-long program is dedicated to helping female musicians learn their craft. To stand a chance of winning the Dean Markley Scholarship to the event and some gear from Fender simply submit your best best songs to the opportunity on Indaba Music.

Prize:

1 selected artist will receive The Dean Markley scholarship to the Women's Music Summit, a Fender Blacktop™ Telecaster® HH guitar and a Fender Mustang II Guitar Amplifier

Electric Forest Festival Mix Match DJ Contest

Music Contest Info:

To enter this contest to win a performance slot at the Electric Forest Festival you have to submit a mix of up to 15 minutes which contains at least one original track. The contest is open to all styles and your mix should reflect your style as an artist. Upload your mix to Mixcloud making sure you title and tag your mix with "Electric Forest Mix Match 2012", use the provided artwork and also include a tracklist in the description.

Prize:

The winner gets to DJ a 30 min set on the Electric Forest - Forest Stage, 2 VIP event passes, lodging for 2 in Electric Avenue Tent at Good Life Village and $500 towards travel budget.

Rules:

Open to DJs based in the United States and Canada residents only. DJs must be 18 years or older to enter. To get through to the judging round of this DJ contest you need to get 100 plays on your mix on Mixcloud.

Neil Young Cover Song Contest

Music Contest Info:

Neil Young is due to release a new album "Americana" and is inviting people to submit their cover of one of the following songs to win the prize of $1,000 cash and exposure on Neil Young's social networks. The classic songs you can submit a cover for are Oh Susannah, Clementine, Tom Dula, Gallows Pole, Get A Job, Travel On, High Flyin' Bird, Jesus' Chariot, This Land Is Your Land, Wayfarin' Stranger, and God Save The Queen. Entries should be uploaded to Talenthouse using the form under the participate tab.

Prize:

The winner as chosen by Neil Young will have their submission featured on Neil Young’s social media channels and will receive $1000 cash. The highest voted entry will receive a copy of Neil Young’s ‘Americana’ release and $500 cash.

Rules:

La La Luden's Jingle Contest

Music Contest Info:

Create a jingle for Ludens who make Throat Drops in many flavors. To enter you need to submit a video of you singing your 30-60 second jingle. The theme of your jingle should be "Surprisingly Soothing. Simply Delicious!". Jingles can be instrumental, acoustic, silly or fun but they must tell Luden's why you love them.

Prize:

The grand prize winner will have their jingle featured on Luden's® website, $2,500 cash, tickets to watch one of America's top talent search shows, a year's supply of assorted Luden's® products. 9 finalists will each receive a $100 American Express Gift Card and assorted Luden's® products.

Rules:

Open to US residents only. Entrants under 18 require parental permission. 1 entry per person.
