Buitoni Jingle Contest

Music Contest Info:

Write a jingle for Buitoni (they make pasta and sauces). Your jingle can be entered as either written lyrics or submitted as a video. The jingle should be approximately 45 seconds in length which spoken and include the name "Buitoni a minimum of 3 times. To enter you have to 'Like' the Buitoni Facebook page and submit a jingle through the Facebook app.

Prize:

The grand prize winner will receive a $5,000 check and their Buitoni Jingle will be played for two weeks on the radio. All five finalists will receive a one year supply of Buitoni.

Rules:

Only open to legal residents of the 50 United States and District of Columbia who are aged 18 years or older. Entrants whose entries are chosen as one of the five finalists irrevocably assign any and all rights, title and interest in their entry to the Sponsor.

The 2012 John Lennon Songwriting Contest Session I

To enter The John Lennon Songwriting Contest you need to submit a 5 minute or less song along with a lyric sheet (if your song has lyrics). The categories are: Rock, Country, Jazz, Pop, World, Rhythm & Blues, Hip Hop, Gospel/Inspirational, Latin, Electronic, Folk, and Children's. Instrumental compositions are encouraged. You song doesn't need to have been professionally recorded as entries are being judged on originality, melody, composition, and lyrics.

Prize:

The song of the year (split over the two sessions) will win a $20,000 check, an Avid prize pack, a Mackie mixer and a pair of Mackie Studio Monitors plus a $1,000 scholarship to Digital Media Academy. The 12 Lennon award winners receive $1000 in Mackie and Ampeg Products. The 24 grand prize winners receive a 6,500 in Project Studio Equipment from Avid, Roland and Boss, Audio-Technica, Gibson Guitars and Epiphone, and Propellerhead. Neutrik special edition John Lennon Educational Tour Bus connectors and cable and a one year subscription to Guitar Player, Bass Player, Keyboard, or EQ Magazine.

Rules:

There is an entry fee of $30.00 per song. Songs may not exceed five minutes in length. Open to amateur and professional songwriters.

Indaba Music: Weekly Brief February 15, 2012

This week's Indaba Music Weekly Brief they want you to use the provided Saxophone improvisations recorded by Timo and incorporate them into a new, original piece of music. Your music can be in any style or genre. The Saxophone recordings were recorded at 100 BPM. Completed tracks should be submitted to Indaba Music.

Prize:

Up to 10 selected Indaba Music users chosen by the judges will receive $50 cash and be eligible for licensing to third-party clients through the Indaba Music Licensing Catalog

Counting Crows Cover Song Contest

Guitar Center: Your Next Record with T-Pain & Young Fyre

To enter this opportunity you need to register on Whooznxt and then submit a video that is no longer than 7 minutes in length. Your video should be of a performance of an original track which has been written by the entrant. This track must fall within the Rap, Hip-Hop, Funk, Soul or R&B genres. You'll also need to grow your fan base throughout the duration of the contest as the judging panel will be paying extra attention.

Prize:

The winner gets a 3 song EP produced by Young Fyre (Producer of T-Pain's rEVOLVEr album who has worked with Lil Wayne, Chris Brown, Mario, Busta Rhymes, Ace Hood and Travie McCoy). The Yamaha 6 String Theory Guitar Competition

To enter you have to upload two YouTube videos which are no longer than 5 minutes long showing you "playing with your band, a solo arrangement, duet performance, or any other performance that showcases your skills as a guitarist." There are 6 categories which are Rock, Blues, Jazz/Fusion, Country, Acoustic and Classical/Flamenco. 36 semi-finalists will be chosen (6 in each category).who will all be awarded a full scholarship to attend and compete in a National Guitar Workshop in Summer 2012.

Prize:

The grand prize winning musician will win a Yamaha guitar (acoustic, classical, or electric), a guitar endorsement from Yamaha Guitars, $1,000 worth of gear from D'Addario String Company and/or Planet Waves accessories, a Monster endorsement plus Monster "Beats by Dre" Headphones, featured artist slot in the 2013 National Guitar Workshop Clinic Tour, a seven day vacation stay at the Flathead Lake Lodge (up to 2 persons total) in Bigfork, Montana and a possible recording contract opportunity from Concord Records. there are also prizes for the 1st to 5th place runner up.

Rules:

Semi finalists have to travel to either Connecticut or Texas for the semifinals (travel not included). Must be aged 16 years or older at time of entry. An entrant may not be a professional guitarist and may not be signed to any labels or management. Concord shall have the exclusive right (but not the obligation) for a period of 6 months to enter into an exclusive recording agreement with any of the six finalists.

Write a jingle "touting the Dial 7 service offering, making it memorable and informative" and make a 30 second video to go with your jingle to enter. Completed entries should be uploaded to YouTube and then shared with their YouTube channel.

Prize:

The musician who writes the best jingle receives $4,777.77 and 2 runners up will receive $77.77 plus everyone who enters will receive a $7 coupon that can be used on a future Dial 7 ride.
