To enter simply upload your best original track, remix or mixed set to the Euphoria Festivals contest platform on Facebook. Click 'Like' then 'Submit an entry' to see all the details. On 6th February a public vote will start to choose the finalists who will then be chosen by Euphoria Festival Staff.

Prize:

The winner will perform at the Euphoria Music Festival (Austin, Texas) on April 7th 2012 and will receive 2 VIP passes.

Rules:

Due to the location of the Euphoria Festival (Austin, Texas) we have listed this contest as USA only. If you are under the age of 18 you must obtain parental consent to enter the contest.

Boomblastica Retro-Future Game Music Competition

Thrust Interactive, the makers of Boomblastica are looking for a 2 to 3 minute piece of "retro-future" music for the game. The game is an action packed arcade style shooter for iOS and Android. Completed entries should be submitted to this SoundCloud group. A flyer for the contest can be seen here.

Prize:

The winner's music will be used in an upcoming level of Boomblastica plus the "BEST OF" winners will receive official Boomblastica merchandise.

Rules:

One True Religion TV Show Indie or Hard Rock Opportunity

This opportunity from the people at Indaba Music which is split into two separate music contests here for Indie Rock and here for Heavy Rock. The producers of a new sports TV show called "One True Religion" are looking for tracks within these two genres. Submit your tracks to stand a chance of getting this music opportunity.

Prize:

1 selected track from both the Indie Rock and Hard Rock tracks will each receive a demo fee of $250 and applicable performance royalties as a result of any broadcasts of One True Religion, which is currently being shopped to major sports television networks.

Rules:

Submissions may not include any copyrighted samples or audio that you don't have an explicit commercial license to use.

Here's a contest for any DJ's amongst us. DJ TechTools have provided a PowerTools pack which you have to mix in with any track. The PowerTools pack to use for this contest can be downloaded from here. Record a video of you performing the PowerTools remix live. Completed videos should be submitted as a response to this YouTube Video.

Prize:

The grand prize winner gets a Rane MP 26 Digital Mixer and All PowerTools. The runner up gets $50 in Chroma Caps and All PowerTools.

P5Audio Flash HipHop Beat Contest

In this "Flash Beat Contest" by P5Audio you have just a short amount of time to create a Hip Hop beat using only the sound samples within the free sample pack. The samples are from four different genres to challenge your music making skills. The free sound sample pack can be downloaded from here. Completed entries should be uploaded to this SoundCloud group.

Prize:

P5Audio's favorite track will win $100 in P5Audio Sounds, a blog post about the winning music producer on the P5Audio blog. Entrants who are following on Twitter and Facebook get an extra bonus prize.

Rules:

No additional sounds can be used, you can only use the free samples given out in the free sounds zip file. Only one beat per contestant. Your beat must not be longer than 2 minutes in length.

Indaba Music: Weekly Brief January 25, 2012

The weekly brief is back on Indaba Music for another round and this week they are looking for Pop, R&B and Hip Hop instrumental tracks. They want you to leave space in the mix/arrangement for vocals because they stand a chance of being added to the Indaba Music licensing catalog.

Prize:

10 selected users chosen by the judges will receive $50 cash and be eligible for licensing to third-party clients through the Indaba Music Licensing Catalog

Rules:

Open to individuals who over the age of 13. Submission must be your own work and not previously been published. No more than 3 submissions per entrant. The entrant shall own the copyright to their submission. To enter you need to be registered member on Indaba Music. A free member gets to enter 3 locked opportunities per year for free unless they purchase a Pro membership on Indaba allowing them to enter unlimited opportunities.

5th Annual Music City Songwriting Competition

Amateur songwriters can submit original songs that are no more than 5 minutes in length to this contest which has Craig Morgan as a judge.

Prize:

The grand prize winner receives two roundtrip Southwest Airline tickets to and from Nashville, transportation, accommodation, $1,000 Cash Prize, mentoring session with Craig Morgan and more. There is also prizes for 25 runners up and all entrants receive a copy of Craig Morgan's latest CD - "This Ole Boy"

Rules:

Due to grand prize, contest is probably U.S only, first song entry costs $25 USD, addition songs cost $15 USD. Open to amateur songwriters and co-songwriters only. Winning song could be subjected to single song contract.
