Actively touring bands can enter this opportunity on Indaba Music by submitting at least 3 original songs for consideration. All genres are welcome.
Prize:The chosen band selected by Indaba Music will perform at a slot in the Indaba showcase at BandPage HQ on Friday, March 16th in Austin including receive up to $1,000 toward travel expenses and a professional video shot of the performance complete with an on camera interview.
Rules:Have to be willing to travel to Austin, Texas Open to individuals over the age of 13 years. Each entrant shall own the copyright to their submission. To enter you need to be registered member on Indaba Music. A free member gets to enter 3 locked opportunities per year for free unless they purchase a Pro membership on Indaba allowing them to enter unlimited opportunities.

Rock The House 2012 Music Contest

To enter you have to download the application form, fill it in and then send it off to your MP along with an MP3 of one of your original compositions. There are 3 categories for solo-artists, bands over 18 and under-18 entrants. Each MP then has to announce by April 30th which act will be representing their constituency. A panel of international music industry experts and musicians will determine the finalists who will compete in a live battle of the bands on Wednesday 30th May.
Chance to appear live at a live Battle of The Bands final in front of industry leaders including a special panel for the under 18's at the Yamaha headquarters, on the terrace of the House of Commons, Download festival and others depending on your music genre, The Legendary Bedford Pub in Balham and more to be added soon. Also up for grabs are top end guitars, sound and lighting masterclasses, professional music/sound/lighting equipment and more.
Rules:The competition is only open to residents of the UK. Open only to unsigned and unsponsored bands and solo artists. All submitted tracks must be capable of being performed live by the entrant. Submitted tracks should not exceed four minutes in total. Full terms and conditions can be read here.

Fast Track to Strawberry Fields Festival 2012

To enter submit your tracks and you could be invited to play at the heats will take place in London (location TBC,) on April 9th, 10th and 11th 2012.
Prize:The winning artist or band will play live at the Strawberry Fields Festival 2012 opening the main stage in Leicestershire between August 10th- 12th.
Rules:Open to UK residents only You must be 16 years old or over. Up to 2 tracks per entry. Your band should have no more than 6 members and your songs should be original.
